New Equipment Installation

Considering a new heating/cooling system? Consider this...

Heating and cooling your home uses more energy and drains more energy dollars than any other system in your home. Typically, 44% of your utility bill goes for heating and cooling. No matter what kind of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system you have in your house, you can save money and increase comfort by properly maintaining and upgrading your equipment.Solar Panel Installation and Addition in Richmond Virginia

When it is time to upgrade your existing heating, ventilation & air conditioning equipment or if you are building a new home or new business, your choice is simple. By choosing Green Air, Inc., you are choosing a company with over 20 years combined experience that can install every major manufacturer of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, such as Trane, York, Carrier, Climate Master, Knight, Honeywell and many others.

Heating

There are many factors that must be considered when deciding which heating unit is best for you. A technician will perform an inspection of your home or business and discuss your comfort levels. We offer a wide variety of different types and different manufacturers of heating systems, such as heat pumps, furnaces, and boilers. Our technicians will help you choose the heating system that offers the optimum energy efficiency and heating comfort level that fits your budget.

Air Conditioning

Your air conditioning does just what the name implies. It conditions the air by filtering out allergens, reducing humidity and cooling the air to make you feel more comfortable. The best air conditioning system is one that fits your home or business physical requirements as well as your lifestyle and budget. Efficiency ratings are also very important. Keeping energy costs down requires a combination of lower energy usage and higher system efficiency. The more energy you use, the higher your carbon footprint becomes. Today's energy-efficient air conditioning systems are economical to operate. You may be surprised at how little it costs to provide so much added comfort.

Products

Tranquility 27 by Climatemaster:

The Tranquility 27® Series provides you the MOST energy savings of any space conditioning system available. The advanced two-stage compressor and variable speed fan maximize efficiency while EarthPure® Ozone Safe refrigerant provides unprecedented environmental protection. The system is engineered for quiet, efficient operation and comes in multiple capacities and a variety of configurations.

Featuring the latest in geothermal heat pump technology, the Tranquility 27® Series delivers comfortable, environmentally responsible heating and cooling plus savings on your utility bills.

Genesis 20 by Climatemaster:

The GR series offers high efficiency, quiet operation with advanced features and application flexibility at competitive prices. GR series exceeds ASHRAE 90.1 efficiencies, yet maintains small cabinet dimensions.

Available in sizes 1/2 ton (1.76 kW) through 5 tons (17.6 kW) with multiple vertical and horizontal cabinet options the GR series offers a wide range of units for most any installation. The GR has an extended range refrigerant circuit, capable of ground loop (geothermal) applications as well as water loop (boiler-tower) applications. Standard features are many. Microprocessor controls, galvanized steel cabinet, epoxy powder coat paint (vertical units) and TXV refrigerant metering device are just some of the features of the flexible GR series.

ClimateMaster’s exclusive double isolation compressor mounting system makes the GR series the quietest unit on the market. Compressors are mounted on vibration isolation springs to a heavy gauge mounting plate, which is then isolated from the cabinet base with rubber grommets for maximized vibration/sound attenuation. Options such as e-coated air coil, DDC controls, internal pump and factory-installed water solenoid valves allow customized design solutions. The GR Series water-source heat pumps are designed to meet the challenges of today’s HVAC demands with a low cost/high value solution.

SX2400 by Comfortmaker:

The Copeland® scroll compressor operates without noisy pistons and comes with a sound blanket to reduce compressor sound levels. The painted, galvanized steel cabinet features a powder-coat, baked-on finish and a coated inlet grille with narrower spacing to provide maximum protection as it allows for proper airflow and easy coil cleaning. The Copeland® scroll compressor and the 7 mm copper tubing with aluminum fin coils work collectively to save on energy. The two-speed fan motor operates most of the time on quieter, lower speed. Aerodynamic air discharge design reduces operating sounds. The Comfort Alert feature improves diagnostic accuracy if the system needs checking. The Plug & Play feature simplifies wiring and provides easy access to speed up service.

* Energy-saving 14 SEER efficiency saves on monthly energy bills.
* 7 year No Hassle Replacement™ limited warranty* gives you a replacement unit if the compressor or outdoor coil should fail within the first seven years.
* 10 year limited warranty* on scroll compressor.
* 10 year limited warranty* on all functional parts.
* HELP® (Homeowner’s Extended Labor Program) available

XL20i from Trane:

Imagine 12 months of total and complete comfort – from the hottest days to the coldest nights. Well, you don’t have to, thanks to the XL20i system from Trane. It’s designed to perfectly cool your home in the summer and perfectly heat it in the winter.

When matched with a variable speed indoor unit from Trane, the XL20i has another special feature. It's a method of enhancing airflow that we call Comfort-R™ and it gives you greater humidity control in cooling. This is accomplished by running the fan at a slower speed during start-up. Comfort-R™ also provides warmer air during heating start-up. These managed cycles reduce temperature variances for the optimum in home comfort.

The XL20i is among the industry’s most efficient heat pumps available, with a rating up to 19.00 SEER and HSPF up to 9.0. The XL20i has two compressors: one for milder weather and a second larger compressor for those extremely hot days. It’s like having two units in one.

Cleaner, healthier indoor air Add Trane CleanEffects™ to your system for advanced air filtration that removes more dust, pollen and other irritants from conditioned air for a cleaner, healthier, more comfortable home. And Trane CleanEffects™ is now proven to remove more than 99% of the common flu virus from your home’s filtered air.

York:

"Split System" Heat Pumps

A split system heat pump keeps homes comfortable all year long. In summer, it draws heat out of your home to cool it. In the winter, it draws heat from outside air into your home to warm it. Many heat pumps have a booster electrical-resistance heater that automatically heats outside air even more. Outside air always has heat in it -- even at very low outdoor temperatures. Like a central air conditioner, a heat pump includes a compressor, fan, outdoor coil, indoor coil, and a refrigerant. The efficiency of heat pumps is rated using SEER (for cooling efficiency) and HSPF (for heating efficiency). A heat pump uses electricity as its power source.

York offers a wide variety of split system heat pumps in different sizes and efficiencies.

Price Considerations

Cost Factor: Ductwork

Ductwork is the air distribution system in your home that directs and delivers heated or cooled air. The duct system has a significant impact on system performance and plays an integral role in determining how comfortable your home is from room to room. When properly designed and installed, a duct system can maximize comfort and minimize energy use.

If it's time to replace your aging system and you have hot or cold rooms in your house, you may want to consider making duct system improvements at the same time. Install a properly sized duct system with registers and grilles that deliver air quietly and evenly. It’s well worth it for the end result.
